2023 Second Harvest Food Bank Volunteering Opportunity

WLC's Second Harvest Service Day - September 30, 2023!

When: Saturday, September 30 @ 8:30 am – 11:30 am

Where: Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, 500-B Spratt Street

Join fellow WLC members on September 30^th as we volunteer at Second Harvest Food Bankto help sort and pack donated items to help our local community. This event will have double the impact as we will be volunteering on behalf of Safe Alliance, so for each hour served, we will provide credits for Safe Alliance to purchase food items for their domestic violence shelter at low or no cost.

We have exactly 10 spots available and we need to fill them up! Please register in advance [here]. Please wear a purple shirt (WLC shirt encouraged!) and comfortable, close-toed shoes. Close-toed shoes are required to enter the building. Masks are optional.

Project instructions are given at the beginning of the shift, and anyone arriving 15 minutes late will be asked to reschedule – please commit to the entire shift!
